At Lynn's Piano Art, we are committed to providing high-quality piano tuning, repair, and refinishing services. We understand that occasionally issues may arise, and we want to ensure that our refund policy is clear and fair. This policy outlines our approach to refunds and service satisfaction.
1. Service Satisfaction
Our primary goal is your complete satisfaction with our piano services. If you are not fully satisfied with any service we provide, please contact us within 7 days of service completion to discuss your concerns. We will make every reasonable effort to address the issue and ensure your satisfaction.
2. Piano Tuning Services
For standard piano tuning services:
- If you are not satisfied with a tuning, we will return for a complimentary adjustment within 30 days of the original service.
- If we determine that your piano cannot maintain a stable tuning due to structural issues or extreme environmental conditions (which would have been disclosed during our initial assessment), no refund will be provided, but we may offer recommendations for necessary repairs.
- Refunds for tuning services are generally not provided once the service has been completed, as the work has already been performed.
3. Piano Repair Services
For piano repair services:
- All repairs come with a 90-day warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship.
- If a repair fails within the warranty period, we will fix the issue at no additional cost.
- If we cannot successfully repair the issue after reasonable attempts, we may offer a partial refund at our discretion.
- Refunds will not be provided for repairs that were properly performed but did not meet unrealistic expectations or for issues unrelated to the specific repair work performed.
4. Piano Refinishing Services
For piano refinishing services:
- Due to the extensive, custom nature of refinishing work, no refunds will be provided once work has begun.
- Before beginning any refinishing project, we provide detailed information about the process, show samples of finishes, and may create test areas to ensure your approval of the approach.
- If there are defects in the refinishing work (such as bubbling, peeling, or uneven application), we will correct these issues at no additional cost within one year of completion.
- Changes in design preferences or specifications after work has begun are not grounds for refunds but may result in additional charges for modifications.
5. Deposits and Cancellations
Our policy regarding deposits and cancellations:
- For standard tuning appointments, no deposit is required. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee of $50.
- For repair services, a 25% deposit may be required for parts ordering. This deposit is refundable if you cancel before parts are ordered. Once parts are ordered, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
- For refinishing and restoration services, a 30% deposit is required to begin work. This deposit is non-refundable once work has begun, as materials are purchased and labor is scheduled specifically for your project.
- If we cancel a scheduled appointment, no cancellation fees will apply, and any deposits will be fully refundable or applied to the rescheduled service.
6. Payment Methods and Timing
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
- Cash
- Personal checks (for established customers)
- Electronic payments (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle)
Refunds, when approved, will be processed using the same method as the original payment. Please allow 5-10 business days for credit card refunds to appear on your statement.

We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. If you face a situation not covered by this policy, please contact us directly to discuss your specific case. We will make every reasonable effort to find a fair solution.
